MICRONEEDLING

Micro-needling procedure is a non-invasive treatment that involves numerous tiny needles puncturing the upper layer of the skin, using a devise at a high speed and varying degrees of depth. These punctures or micro injuries initiate the healing response of the skin, which initiates collagen production.

WHAT IS IT?

The initiating of collagen production produces a firmer and smoother skin. Fines lines are decreased in size and the skin appears more toned. Micro-needling is also a wonderful treatment for clients with scarring such as acne or stretch marks. The micro-injuries that are created help to break up the hardened scar tissue and promote new, softer skin growth.

Post treatment- Do not wear makeup for at least 24 -48 hours post procedure. Do not use skin ointments that could cause irritation. Keep skin clean, and avoid touching skin with hands. Drink plenty of water. This will assist in healthy skin production. Avoid UV rays.

Side effects- You may notice redness for a few days after the procedure. This is normal and to be expected.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

Each clients is individual with different skin conditions and goals. Generally, it is suggested that a client have at least 3-4 treatments 1 month apart. After this, it is good to re evaluate the skin and goals of the client and go from there. Some may want treatments every 6-12 months for routine maintenance, where as others who are working on scar reduction may require ongoing treatments.
